Thanks for the great read, I work in many different niches, have also competed in a market which is over run with competition some big some small.

Though I'm a strong believer of never giving up on any of your goals, I do a lot of SEO work and some of the tasks I set myself can be very frustrating, reaching your goals is what it's all about.

This is so right. I've got a friend setting up business at the moment so I'm going to give him this to read, so he doesn't make the normal mistake of worrying about what everyone else is doing. It's good to be aware of your competitors, but don't let them rule what you do.

This is so true. I was guilty of this myself for some time. I wanted to start a business, but didn't because every business I thought about getting into had competition and I thought that I had to find a business with no competition in order to be successful. Then I realized that if there is competition, there is money to be made and there is probably an abundance of potential customers and more than enough to go around. Good information here. I think it will help a lot of people overcome that paralysis that holds them back from being truly successful in their business.

Competition is always good.

Different strokes for different folks. If you are worried about getting your idea stolen (unless it's really something extraordinary and innovative) there is always a possibility that somebody in the world may have a similar but different idea (for example, Dr. Chris Barnhard was not the first person to do a heart transplant, he was the first one to do a successful heart transplant. At the same time, there were hundreds of people trying to perfect this technique)

It's always good to keep an eye on what your competitors are doing, but do something unique yourself. Only concentrate on your idea and build on your idea.

Since you’re the only intender, this is entirely an internal conflict — within YOU. You’re holding the thought (the intention) for both people to want the same position. But you’re also thinking (intending) that only one can get it. So you’re intending competition. This whole situation is your creation. You believe in competition, so that’s what you manifest. Maybe you have some beliefs (thoughts and intentions) about who will get the promotion, in which case your expectations will manifest. But you may have a higher order belief that life is random, unfair, uncertain, etc., so in that case you may manifest a surprise because that’s what you’re intending.
