Far too expensive for a 11' LCD. Prices will drop once competitors start introducing similar technology.

It's just amazing how the technology has developed during the last few years. I've heard that sony expiences even with nano-particles.

I'm very interested in OLED and the fact that TVs are getting thinner. But how long until they become available AND affordable to the general public?

I think the idea that there working with here is that these screens also have much higher picture quality and resolution. The gimmick is how thin they are, but I think you would buy them for the improved resolution. Is that worth $2,500 to you? Open question.

Wow - that is a lot of cash to just get it slightly thinner - especially considering your standard flat panels have come down so much in price recently.

I guess at the moment these are for the super rich but in a couple of years they will become a lot cheaper.
