How To Split An Atom: What Is Web 2.0?

Web 2.0 is just a fancy name for the new online companies that were not around during the last .com bubble.

You could be right, but I think the difference between the old bubble and this new "thing" is the fact that all of the fun of the old bubble happened in the pages of publications like the WSJ and NYT.

This time around, things are a lot more interesting because we can actually interact with each other.

I think that is what changed this from a silly technological milestone to something a bit more.

Interesting. I think that we won't really be able to understand the cultural significance of Web 2.0 until well after the bubble pops.

I wonder if everyone will go back to their day job after its all over.

For a while, like they usually do. Hopefully in the interim we get some innovation to lead us into whatever is next.
