How To Split An Atom: The Blogs That Inspire Me

  • Diane Whiddon-Brown · 11 months ago
What a great list. There are several here that I'm not familiar with, so I'll enjoy checking them out.

For me, I'd add Communicatrix because I've fallen in love with her frank writing voice, and the candid way she talks about all the changes she's going through right now. I feel more like myself when I read her blog.

I'd also add the Murderati, because they talk so eloquently about genre fiction writing (which is what I write) and life in general, and since they're all writers, their blog is lovely to read.

And I've been lurking here for a couple of days, and just realized that I know you from Twitter! I love social media. It feels like I'm waving to a friend. :)

Are we friends on Twitter? If not, be sure to send me an @ so I can be sure to add you.

I haven't heard of Murderati, I definitely have to check that one out. At heart, I am a writer and I love reading about writing.

Either way, send me a DM when you get a shot. Thanks for reading!

This is a really excellent list. Thanks for the recommendations.

    I'd submit

    1. Changeforge - http://changeforge.com
Ken is an excellent writer and his posts are reflective and well thought out. I really enjoy his in depth analysis of business and technology. He is a think and it shows.

    2. CircleId - http://www.circleid.com/blogs/
CircleID is one of the best blogs I read. Their stable of contributors is absolutely amazing and the content is unlike any other site I've seen. They cover topics with an in depth style that PBS would be proud of. They are the best of the best.

I really enjoy your blog. Thank you very much.

Missing Lifehacker.com A lot of tech news but also some real news, news you can use. They even sometimes have topics on health related items.
    Kind regards Dr Shock

I'm a big fan of Lifehacker but I just find that I don't read it as consistently as I used to. It's still an absolutely fantastic publication.

Gah! My duck and I could not be more flattered to appear on your list, Steve.

You're one of the real sincere thinkers that I've had the pleasure to encounter online, and this is totally an honor.

Fascinated by the new direction you're taking ... can't wait to see what interesting stops happen on the way. *blows kiss*

I'm fascinated to see how it pans out myself.

Thank you for producing great content so consistently.

I like http://www.giveback.net/ because it aggregates the latest in community problems with community solutions.
  • wilhb81 · 11 months ago
Well, Steve. Everyone loves for being inspired...

By the way, How Stuff Works is tremendously awesome!

Thanks a lot, Steve. I'm flattered to be in the same category as many of these blogs, some of which are new to me and others of which -- including Metafilter -- I agree are indispensable.

Eversince I started working as a Web Marketing Analyst, The blog of Avinash Kaushik has been my Bible. I love his blog so much and his posts are all nice and helpful. I have made him a subject in my essay about personal icons. In his blog, you can really see how good he is in analytics with a touch of good sense of humor:)
