Once you realize what the email/text is about ("you win", "we have a banking proposition" etc etc) then stop reading immediately and ask yourself:
Have I ever won, received or done a transaction regarding money with anyone ever in this medium (email/text)?
The answer is obviously no, delete the email. If its truly important you will be notified in other ways.
