How To Split An Atom: Serious Games

    I don't understand the sense of this simulation-how it will help paramedics in real world? With all that cry, pain and blood? It's just a simulation. All right, it will help them to applicate appropiate treatment, but reality is absolutely different. It's the same as if you finish training at some flight simulator and claim that you're able to flight with JumboJet.
    Still it is only a theoretical knowledge and you won't know how it is in real life until you'll really face the situation.

    It's true, it isn't the real world but it is a lot closer to the real world than other methods of training. I think the idea is to give them the closet thing to a real experience as you practically can.

    I agree with sbspalding. The closer you get to simulating real-life situations, the better the training is. No doubt about it.

    @Maria

    I think it isn't to look after sick person user must only diagnostic. This serious games make to learn crisis managment.

    Agree with the above comments, the video doesnt cover up a lot of things.. and simulations are not that good for our medics, real-life issues make them better, not simulations

    Yes real life experiences are much more useful in terms of medical line. This game however does prove to be a great help to beginners.
