  • Referring back to your fundraising blog this could be a great way of knowing that your full dollar is going to the actual charity w/o the fundraiser middleman.
Is there a fee for using ChipIn?
  • None at all, I've been trying to come up with some creative ways to use it to do some good. Nothing has quite gel'd with me yet.
  • The blog I am referring to is here: http://howtosplitanatom.com/ideas/donation-dash...
  • - college fund
    - wedding gift
    - giving to yourself (into a separate account) to save money for something
    - allowance pool for a kid
    - bat/bar mitzvah gift fund
    - bachelor party fund
    - party fund
    - group travel fund
    - PTA fund
    - gas fund
    - coffee fund for office
    - a Dollar A Day - to save for something
  • Some of those are pretty good, I really like what Berkeley is doing with their "Big Ideas." Unfortunately, it seems like they don't quite the grasp of the medium to really tap into their wider network. They get small numbers of huge donations, which is good but they could probably get more smaller donations.
  • I hadn't heard about Chipin till some of the people at reddit decided to use it to send Helen Thomas Flowers. It is a really cool service and a neat way to do some fundraising.
