How To Split An Atom: Project Michelle Uses The Web To Fight Cancer

  • David · 1 year ago
People need to know that good things happen in the world. There are miracle stories out there like this one I ran into today. http://www.petergreenberg.com/2008/08/06/gratef...

It is a great story and I teared up.

Actually, as of early June I do have a match. But that still doesn't diminish the need for more registered potential donors. There's always someone out there who needs to find a match.

Great to hear mate, but I agree more donors are needed

It's great to hear about more charities using the web to raise awareness. Especially for something like bone marrow donation -- where many people can easily contribute, and the biggest obstacle is getting the word out. One group that's doing some similar work to Project Michelle is Gift of Life.

One thing you're absolutely right about: every little bit helps. Just one more person mentioning the right charity can end up making enough of a difference to save a life.

Its great to see technology of the internet and stem cell research working together. I think with the new president we will get to see a lot more of it. I'll be on the donor list soon.
