With the lack of something better Moore has spawned himselve behind Obama.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

Moore has a strong voice that people - whether they agree with his or no - are attracted to. I think his biggest challenge is being too consistent with his message. If people know exactly what's going to come out of his mouth, there's not need to tune in.

I think he does a good job keeping an audience partly because he actually cares about the issues he takes on. This separates him from typical pundits who work off the talking points of the day.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

I will definitely download the movie and already gained my Dugg... hope this release will be as good as the previous documentaries.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

Moore really know the ways to create some "WoW" effect and he managed to draw the public attention and giving himself a nice publicity as well!

Well, I will waiting for his new movie and see whether he only "talk the talk" or not...

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

I would agree. His films I can take or leave but the fact that he made the documentary popular to the viewing public is impressive.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

This guy is a douche. I think he is putting his crap online for free because no one would pay to see it.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

I think it's arrogant to say that just because he's releasing it for free, that 'it must be a bad movie'. It's irrational to point out how successful his films have been and then say his recent charitable action is a cop out.

If it was a bad movie he wouldn't be organizing promotion for it. Online distribution also speaks to his target audience more so than a theater release. It's the objective he has- and over analyzing it is not helping.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

Michael Moore is one of the more computer literate celebs. His decision to release the movie on the internet is, in my opinion, forward thinking. He realizes that Hollywood is changing; like it or not.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

I had always had a disliking for Moore, and never really liked his documentaries. In particular I found that there was a lot of FUD in his documentaries.

With that said, I do sort of have an appreciation for him now that I have read some of the stuff on his blog. I will probably end up checking out his documentary, but I don't think it was released for altruistic reasons.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

I cant wait to see his new movie...woho...

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

Moore might be remembered for the effect he had on the main steaming of documentaries and new media than his actual films.

Re: Michael Moore And The Digg Effect

I dont personally like him so i am not gonna watch his movie.:(
