Thank you. You have a real gift. I just got through making a comment on a article that left me confused and with very little practical background and tips. Indeed i was concerned that if i applied any of of the data i might cause myself real trouble and trouble for my website.
You have some good insight and tips - in a practical manner.

How would you suggest a user submit their own content to some of these sites? Is flagrant self-promotion ok? (That is, digging their own posts as well as other peoples' for instance.)

Stumbleupon is great. I've achieved massive traffic which also coincided with a spike in RSS subscribers.
I hadn't heard of a couple of the others so i'll have to check them out.

Brilliant write up.
I find that most of my traffic comes from Reddit.

Although this past week, someone postd my blog on StumbleUpon and I got over 100 hits in one day, and I'm still confused as to how it all worked.

This resource will really be useful to new bloggers though. Nice work.
