i cannot install linux cuz the prompt screen sais Not Fedora Core Install DVD.
what am i doing wrong ?

yes i downloaded and burned both fedora core 5.0 and addon cd

You should:

1. Download and burn Fedora 7 and addon (20070516 or later).
2. Install the bootloader from addon disc.
3. Insert the Fedora 7 install DVD and boot the system.
4. At the kboot prompt, type: linux video=720p (if your monitor doesn't support it, type: linux video=480i)

I use fedora core 5.0 at work, and we just so happened to get a free ps3 with a plasma screen we bought for presentations and demos! I think maybe I've found the perfect use for it, thanks for the article!

You can put linux on it its no bid deal just
