I think in a lot of industries, the "tool" industry really makes money. Just check out home tv shopping. They got "tools" for weightloss, and "tools" for cooking great foods.

I guess it is a good industry. Just look for people who desperately wants to achieve something, then make a "tool" that will help them get what they want.

It is very difficult to monetize your site without it seeming too spammy. My biggest challenge is getting people to come to my blog. I like the twitter idea, might use that one. I wish there was a way to create some creative info for your site without having to be creative yourself, I'm an SAS Blogger

Twitter is a great way to get the word out about your blog. just remember to interact with other twitter people and not to focus entirely on just "tweeting" about your blog/website.

I concur with James. That challenge me and else as blog owner is who surfing bring the Internet to visit blogs that our maintain. Rank blog search engine in the sometimes confusing to understand, how the method is applied to place search engine ranking on the blog-specific search rank.

I don't know if they ever got it working, but OLPC was going to try to integrate a hand crank into their laptops.

I think I like your idea better though. It wouldn't even have to power the computer, but if it could be used to power a coffee machine or something. You might have hit upon something with that one ;)
