Of all the browsers Chrome has the fastest javascript execution. The css styling differs in some areas especially between firefox and IE. This makes it a hastle to do consistent web layout across the browsers.

Same here. I also still use Firefox because of the plugins, however I use Chrome when the site isn't working in firefox....
So at least Chrome has saved me from using Internet Explorer as backup :)

Agreed with you on that. Until then when Chrome is fully able to integrate with thousands of plugins, i will just stick with Firefox for now.

I don't think Chrome stands a chance as of now after testing it myself as soon as download was available. But maybe if they got some new option, it will help.

nice post. anyway there are more things to say like the new Chrome for MAC and Linux, without speaking about Chrome portable edition. and all of the tricks to improve Chrome!

I agree with your opinion. I'd stay with Firefox just for now, because it IS in fact still in its beta stages. In the future when it's got more users, support, and addons, I might consider giving it a go.

According to local media there is a so called rootkit-function in Chrome wich can be used for traditional client-baserede drive-by attackes. Not that I know exactly what that means. There are also a lot of spy-issues.

Just a follow up according Chrome and security: Some european contries now warns against Chrome because of security issues. This includes Germany and netherlands.

I hadn't heard about the virus'. I thought "rock solid security" was supposed to be a part of the whole Chrome package? I think I am going to pass on Chrome for a little while longer.

Chrome is pretty fast and I like it, but its crazy that it is not possible to ad googles own toolbar to Chrome. I am addicted to this toolbar, so I have to wait. According to several articles there already seems to be several virus attacks on Chrome, so maybe its better to wait anyway.

Like you said its beta, but I feel that it has nothing extra, its just another browser with similar functions. And its TOS was bad enough, and I'm not surprised Google took the clause out almost right away.

I am a plugin junkie too, Chrome has it's uses but for my money I can't give up FF's extensibility.

Independent processes also means that in a long run sense, it will probably eat more resources than Firefox. I like it but certainly not enough to change over.

I have tried all of the internet browsers, such as Firefox, Internet explorer, Safari, Opera and even the Netscape Navigator too!

Overall, I still think that I will stick with Firefox, as it's the only browser that given me the least browsing problems...

I for one will stick with Firefox, for now anyway, I downloaded and played with Chrome but I was not overly impressed. I enjoy all the plug-ins that Firefox provides and I am more than satisfied with the security.

I agree with JBO that the process idea, if done correctly, has a lot of merit. This is also something that IE8 is doing. This has a lot of potential and I am sure if it works well, it will be adopted by the other browsers.

I use too many plug-ins to switch though, but like you have been keeping my eye on Flock, because it seems very promising.

I'm of the same opinion as you - I will not be changing from firefox for a while to come.

The only main advantage I can see so far is the independent processes per tab - I;m sure someone will develop something like this for FF?

Google must have something more up their sleeve than this as they have joined the whole browser game very very late.
