I'd vote for him... Discovered whales? That's hilarious. Sounds kind of like Al Gore and the internet.

Funny you can make such an inspiring article out of a cereal box.
    Thanks

I remember when i was a kid eating big bowls of froot loops. I admit i loved the surgar and the colors but what really got me was the toys you would get at the bottom of the box. All of this in combination with the colorful Tucan Sam has managed to rot many childrens teeth i'm sure.

Great post that tells a sad truth.

There is a book out now on many best sellers lists that explains in detail more of these ideas.

The name of the book, 'Predictably Irrational'

I am not so sure that showing how great a product is helps sell it. It is more like keeping up with the Joneses and having the coolest stuff. Whether you are talking kids and cereal or grownups and iPods it is about being cool.

If my legacy is giving people a new perspective on cereal, I've done my job. :)

My favorite cereal were Lucky Charms. Even though I liked them very much, I always wondered why there wasn’t Lucky Charms with just the marshmallow charms. I always left those in the bowl until the last because they were my favorite part besides the prize.

after having read this post, I have to say this is an awesome comparison (cereal sales/politics) . How true!
This observation is a boon to anyone wanting to increase their sales, or anyone who is just starting to blog/advertise. I humbly thank you for passing this knowledge along.

I love how you took a simple thing such as a cereal box and do such a great job of comparing it to politics. Also loved the clip!!

I thinks people will now look at me strange as I walk down the aisle at the grocery store looking at the cereal boxes strange
