I read this book when I was growing up. Thanks for reminding me how great a read it was.

Interesting post. I hadn't thought of Dune in those terms before, but I was probably too young when I read it to get much out of it. I remember suspecting that there was a lot going on that I didn't understand.
It would be fun to read it again after 15 or so years and note everything that I missed.
