  • Penisverlaengerung · 1 year ago
    Dear Steve,
This is a "real" useful article, I don't want to sound like everyone posting comments, I really think this is one of the 100 most useful articles in all the web.
This time is for real, Thanks for sharing!!!!

There are some great sites. Having the most options to submit to can really help spread your options. Unfortunately they are all flooded with resumes each day. I heard that only about 1 in 15 people are referred by submitting you resume cold to a company. But that 1 in 15 is worth the time you spend submitting to those sites.

Terrific list. 33 URLs should guarantee finding a job. The old joke saying that:
1st week you search for dream job,
2nd week - search for a job that can be
3rd week - you search for any job
4th week - ok, I can clean dishes
    is no longer valid.

This post is a great resource for job seekers. Nice to compile so many sites with a description on each. I wanted to suggest another site: VisualCV.com. A VisualCV is an online version of your resume, but has portfolio-like qualities so that you can enhance a traditional resume and stand out from the crowd.

Free to join and use the site, there are also 750 companies registered to receive VisualCVs from interested candidates.

Learn more at http://www.visualcv.com and see examples of the product at http://www.visualcv.com/examples.

Full disclosure - I work for VisualCV.com but it's a great tool for job seekers!

Whoah, great roundup of sites. I had been focusing primarily on CL and Indeed. It's guides like this that are very valuable (AND increase the competition lol).

Thanks for the recommendation over twitter :)

This list is awesome Steve! Not sure if any film production folks out there, but if so, my new work ProductionHUB.com has one of the largest databases for those types of jobs. Sologig was pretty cool too if I remember correctly.

And of course, these days, it's all about getting out there, meeting interesting people and proving to employers why they need you...before they are necessarily hiring. :-)

Thank you so much Steve for such a wonderful and resourceful post. This would be of great help for people like me who are on the look out for a job, I admit that I am lazy enough to browse for jobs online rather than going as a walk-in applicant. Time to make my move, thank you so much for your help. Blessed be!

Many of these sites are good, but I would love to suggest one that has been the most helpful in my job search. Personavita (http://www.personavita.com) gave me the ability to build a professional portfolio of all my past work expereince, which was been validated by my co-workers. I can publish the portfolio to any URL I desire and then use it on the job search. It has been great for me.

All I can say is "wow" this is a very nice list of job search engines. I agree that Indeed is awesome because of its free salary search. Most sites want to charge a fee for salary information.
